Frequently Asked Questions

Do you see clients in person or online only?

I offer both in-person and online therapy services for clients throughout California.

For those who prefer face-to-face sessions, my offices are conveniently located in Encino and Pasadena.

If you’re looking for more flexibility, telehealth services are available statewide. Enjoy the convenience of online therapy from anywhere in California – whether you’re relaxing on your couch or in your pajamas!

How long are therapy sessions?

We’ll block out a full 60 minutes for our first session, so we have plenty of time to get to know each other. This helps us build a solid foundation for your journey.

After that, our regular sessions are 50 minutes. We’ll use this time to tackle your challenges, track progress toward your goals, and develop strategies to keep you moving forward and feeling your best.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens, and sometimes things come up that require a schedule change. I understand that.

Here’s the deal: To ensure enough time to fill the appointment slot, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. If a cancellation comes in after that timeframe, the full fee for the session will apply.

Of course, emergencies happen! If something unexpected pops up, please don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know. We can work together to reschedule your appointment or discuss other options.

Who do you work with?

I provide therapy for individuals of all genders, ages 8 and up, drawing on a wide range of backgrounds and experiences

Do you work with teens?

Absolutely! I work with pre-teens and teens, and I get the unique challenges they face today—like dealing with social pressures, exploring their identities, and finding their place in the world. I’m here to help them through it all!

Do you accept insurance?

I work primarily with private-pay clients.

I do, however, accept out-of-network insurance through Thrizer. Through this platform, you’ll pay your out-of-network co-pay instead of paying the full amount upfront and then submitting a claim.

I think we might be a good fit. What do I do next?

Lets schedule a free 20 minute consultation, there are a few easy ways to connect:

During our consultation, we can discuss your goals for therapy and see if I’m the right therapist for you. If I’m not the right fit for you, I’m more than happy to provide referrals to other therapists who may better meet your needs.

Do therapists think about clients outside of sessions?
Absolutely! Therapists often think about clients outside of sessions. It’s part of the process. We take notes after sessions to reflect on what we discussed and plan for the future, including your specific goals. Sometimes, a thought about a client might pop up while doing something unrelated, like washing dishes. In those cases, we make a mental note to bring it up in the next session if it feels relevant. As therapists, we build connections with our clients and genuinely care about their well-being. We might even wonder how you’re doing after therapy has ended.
Dogs or cats?
I’m definitely a dog person! I’ve had many dogs growing up and currently have a 100-pound pup named Hanks, whom you may hear occasionally, in session. That said, I did have a cat when I was a teenager, and I also had a pet hamster in elementary school named Hammy-Davis-Jr. So, while dogs are my favorite, I have a soft spot for other furry friends, too!
Sushi or tacos?
Don’t make me choose… I love food! Sushi, tacos, patties – yum! If I absolutely had to pick, I’d go with tacos. Don’t be upset – growing up in LA, it’s just part of the culture!
